Hailed as "magical" by The Boston Globe and "fresh and inventive" by the Chicago Sun-Times, IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE: A LIVE RADIO PLAY transposes the cinematic classic (and holiday television tradition) to the theater by staging the story as if it was a 1940s live radio broadcast in front of a studio audience. Five actors perform the voices of dozens of characters while a live foley sound man helps create the atmosphere. As in the film, everyman George Bailey must learn that "no man is a failure who has friends" (and a little divine intervention), when he must face off against local robber baron (and all around curmudgeon) Henry F. Potter. It's "a surefire reminder of what this season is all about" (Edge Magazine).

Cathy Cutshall makes her directorial debut at BCP after most recently costuming our productions of BONNIE & CLYDE: THE MUSICAL (June 2017), M*A*S*H (March/April 2017), EVERY CHRISTMAS STORY EVER TOLD...AND THEN SOME! (December 2016), and DIRTY BLONDE (September-October 2016). Joining Cutshall on the production team are Rebecca Droeger (Producer); Matthew Soverns (Music Director); Aaron B. Bailey (Set Designer/Technical Director); Melissa DeVito (Costume Designer); Sue Kuehnhold (Lighting Designer); D. Scott Robinson (Sound Designer); Nicole Droeger (Stage Manager); and Kelly Cutshall (Properties).
