Step behind the scenes at the Reading Session of New Compositions, where choral enthusiasts, fellow composers, and fans of the unusual can immerse themselves in the creative process. An integral part of Elektra’s mandate is to foster new works for classically-based adult treble choirs. In this interactive program, up to three Canadian composers will present their pieces in a constructive and informal setting. Join Artistic Director Cassie Luftspring, guest composer Katerina Gimon, composer/pianist Dr. Stephen Smith, and the Elektra singers as they explore and discuss innovative music and sounds.
