Canadian metal visionaries VOIVOD have spent over four decades pushing the boundaries of heavy music, evolving from raw speed metal into a unique hybrid of progressive, thrash and technical experimentation. With drummer Michel “Away” Langevin as the band’s constant anchor, they’ve released sixteen studio albums, earned a Billboard breakthrough with Nothingface, won a Juno Award for The Wake, and helped define the technical thrash sound alongside Coroner and Watchtower. Their most recent release, Morgöth Tales (2023), proves their innovative spirit is still firing on all cylinders.
