Nominacje do czwartej edycji Dorian Theater Awards Stowarzyszenia Krytyków Sztuki LGBTQ zostały ujawnione. Nagrody te wyróżniają najlepsze produkcje Broadwayu i Off-Broadwayu, honorując zarówno główne, jak i produkcje o tematyce LGBTQ+.
“Od radykalnej reinterpretacji naszego świata w Prince Faggot, po delikatne tematy samoodkrycia w Schmigadoon!, to była wspaniała sezon queerowej opowieści na scenach Nowego Jorku,” mówi współprzewodniczący skrzydła teatralnego GALECA, Sam Eckmann.

Schmigadoon! zdobył dziewięć nominacji, co czyni go produkcją z największą liczbą nominacji. Nowy musical Broadwayu jest adaptacją serii Apple TV o tej samej nazwie, która składa hołd musicalom złotej ery. Oprócz nominacji do Outstanding Broadway Musical i Outstanding LGBTQ Broadway Production, twórca pokazu Cinco Paul jest potrójnie nominowany w nowych kategoriach nagród Dorian Theater Awards: Outstanding Original Score of a Broadway Production i Outstanding Book of a Broadway Musical. Nominowani są również wykonawcy Sara Chase, Max Clayton i Ana Gasteyer.
Tuż za Schmigadoon! znajduje się saga wampirów The Lost Boys. Epicka inscenizacja zdobyła osiem nominacji.
