Willows is the musical project of Geneviève Toupin, a Red River Métis and Franco-Manitoban artist known for her folk-rooted sound that seamlessly transitions between French, English, and Michif. Drawing from her experiences as a woman and stepmother, her 2023 album, Maison vent, pays tribute to the women in her family. As one of the 2026 Artists in Residence at the Allied Music Centre, Willows will explore new musical landscapes while embracing her cultural heritage.
