Sweet Ephemera is a double bill of contemporary dance works presented by DanceWorks, featuring Peel Me by Eilish 미정 Shin-Culhane and pahinga ka muna by Jose Miguel 'Miggy' Esteban. The program explores queer intimacy, cultural memory, and diasporic experience, with performers using food, ritual, improvisation, and sensory experience to move between tenderness and release. Peel Me uses vivid vignettes in which performers eat and destroy grapefruits and fortune cookies as a path to emotional release, while pahinga ka muna is an improvisational ritual of mourning and rest rooted in Filipinx diasporic experience, disability, crip, and mad arts practice.
