The always-impressive Karen Gomyo brings finesse to Mozarts sweet and singing Violin Concerto No. 3. And acclaimed conductor Eun Sun Kim makes her TSO dbut leading the Orchestra in Rachmaninoffs rapturous Symphony No. 2, which unfurls a never-ending cascade of characteristically lush and opulent melodies, each one bound to speak directly to the heart. A short chamber work by Spotlight Artist Samy Moussa and the overture to Mozarts comic opera The Marriage of Figaro open the program. The long-awaited reunion between the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and its patrons is scheduled for November 10, 2021, with 30 dynamic programs running through June of 2022. The return to live performances will be defined by the leadership of Music Director Gustavo Gimeno, who will mark his first complete season on the podium, conducting 11 subscription programs.

The month of February at the Toronto Symphony Orchestra (TSO) marks the returns of singer & conductor Barbara Hannigan, superstar cellist Alisa Weilerstein, and the National Arts Centre Orchestra. Moreover, Interim Artistic Director Sir Andrew Davis celebrates his birthday on the TSO podium, and some principal players from the Orchestra Jonathan Crow, Joseph Johnson, and Kelly Zimba take centre stage performing Brahms and Debussy.
