Neptune Theatre presents RENT, Jonathan Larson's Tony Award-winning rock musical, running July 7 through August 30, 2026, directed by artistic director Jeremy Webb. The production stars Nova Scotian performers Geordie Brown as Mark Cohen and Allister MacDonald as Roger Davis — a reversal of the roles each played when they first met in a 2011 production of the same show. Brown recently completed a cross-Canada arena tour as guest vocalist for Foreigner, while MacDonald's credits include an ACTRA Award-winning performance in Stage Mother and stage work at Buddies in Bad Times and Festival Antigonish. The production features music direction by Sarah Richardson and choreography by Alex Herzog.
