R&J and Joni is a world-premiere musical adaptation of Romeo and Juliet, co-created by Joey Herbison, Julia Nish-Lapidus, Cara Pantalone, and James Wallis, combining Shakespeare's text with the music of Canadian icon Joni Mitchell. Directed by Julia Nish-Lapidus with music direction by Joey Herbison, the production is fully staged and offers audiences a new way of experiencing one of the most famous plays in the English language. The cast features Hilary Adams, Jillian Mitsuko Cooper, Nick Dolan, Andrew Iles, Richard Lam, and Cara Pantalone.
