Pink Martini at Roy Thomson Hall

Pink Martini, the globally inspired ensemble from Portland founded by Thomas Lauderdale, returns to Roy Thomson Hall for a single night performance. Now in its 31st year, the group presents a mélange of catchy old-fashioned pop, global colour, foot-tapping big band sound, and Hollywood glamour, with music intended to appeal to everyone regardless of age or background. The ensemble has performed with iconic voices including China Forbes, Storm Large, Ari Shapiro, Edna Vazquez, Jimmie Herrod, Timothy Nishimoto, and Meow Meow, and has played legendary stages including the Hollywood Bowl, Carnegie Hall, and the Sydney Opera House. Pink Martini has released over a dozen albums on its in-house label Heinz Records, including the newest EP Bella Ciao, featuring the anti-fascist title song sung by Storm Large.
