This holiday season… a full-length comedy musical is coming to the Second City. Predictable Holiday Rom-Com: The Musical takes the exact same Christmas love story you’ve seen in hundreds of Hallmark-style TV movies — and adds 17 hilarious pop songs. With book and lyrics by George Reinblatt (Evil Dead The Musical, The Comedy Central Roast of Justin Bieber) and music by Suzy Wilde (After The Rain), this all-Canadian musical is staging a limited engagement sneak peek for just TWO WEEKS ONLY.
If you love holiday rom-coms, this is the show for you. So put on your ugliest Christmas sweater, grab an eggnog, and kick off your festive season with this fun (and predictable) new holiday musical.
Within a week, Toronto audiences had the opportunity to see two musicals which parody that scourge of November to January television, the Hallmark Christmas Movie.
