Written by Governor General's Award-winner Erin Shields and directed by Mitchell Cushman, Medusa is a visceral, defiantly witty, and fearless re-telling of Medusa's story, presented as a World Premiere by Soulpepper Theatre in collaboration with Outside the March. The production features an innovative immersive sound design by Heidi Wai-Yee Chan, with audiences receiving headsets that broadcast the voices of Medusa's inner monologue. Nigerian Canadian actor Oyin Oladejo leads the cast as Medusa, alongside Amy Keating, Sasha Khan, Michelle Monteith, Danté Prince, and Gord Rand. Act 2 is staged within a modern-day rage room environment, with set design by Anahita Dehbonehie, lighting by Nick Blais, and costume design by Ming Wong.
