Nothing says Christmas like Tafelmusik’s Messiah! A moving, often joyous reflection on the life of Christ, Handel’s oratorio surges with emotion, drama, and poignancy.
Performed in the style and spirit of the composer’s own productions, Tafelmusik’s Messiah “radiates brilliance and energy, along with an emotional depth that fully enhances the work’s expression” (AllMusic). Messiah’s core message of good will, hope, and humanity resounds as eloquently today as it did in 1742.

Nothing says Christmas like Tafelmusik's Messiah! Performances of Handel's baroque masterpiece take place on December 14, 15 & 16, 7:30 pm at Koerner Hall, TELUS Centre.
What better way to salute Tafelmusik's 45th anniversary than by celebrating The Sound of Beauty? The theme headlines an extraordinary 23/24 season curated by Tafelmusik's Artistic Co-Directors —violist Brandon Chui, bassoonist Dominic Teresi, and violinist Cristina Zacharias, together with Tafelmusik Chamber Choir Director, Ivars Taurins.
Live music is back! With a sense of hope and optimism for the future, Tafelmusik has unveiled its 2022/23 Season, which celebrates beauty through music of the past. Full-season live concert subscriptions, and advance purchase of Handel Messiah and the Digital Series Pass for subscribers, are now available.
Peace, joy, merriment, and hope — Christmas wouldn't be the same without Tafelmusik! Almost 21 months after its last live public performance at Jeanne Lamon Hall, Tafelmusik will make its long-awaited return to the stage with A Tafelmusik Christmas.
So much in our world has changed, but Christmas wouldn’t be the same without Tafelmusik! December offerings include a free virtual version of Sing-Along Messiah, a new 24/7 Holiday Music Stream, and a festive concert co-curated by Elisa Citterio and Ivars Taurins that promises to make the season bright.
Tafelmusik is at Koerner Hall, 273 Bloor St W, Toronto, ON M5S 1V6, Toronto, ON.
