Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, a benefit concert celebrating the 35th Anniversary of Elton John and Bernie Taupin's legendary double album, will be performed one night only, Monday, October 20, at 8pm, at Broadway's New Amsterdam Theater (214 West 42nd Street). Goodbye Yellow Brick Road will benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, the Elton John AIDS Foundation and Friends in Deed.

The 22nd Annual Broadway Flea Market & Grand Auction held yesterday Sunday, September 21, raised a grand total of $496,380 for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA).

In support of their beloved Theatre Community, there will be an ongoing Theatre Industry Sunday Sanctuary Series of parties to raise funds for BC/EFA hosted by Broadway's own multi-talented performer and choreographer, Mr. Gerry McIntyre (currently appearing in ENTER LAUGHING at the York Theater Company). The event has been organized by Beth Sheinis, bartender and community activist working at Chelsea Grill.

On September 11th 2008, during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Spring 2009 Malan Breton, a long time supporter of BC/EFA joined celebrities La La Brooks of the Crystals, Alexis Houston sister of Whitney Houston, actress Sherri Saum, musicians DIscrete Encounter, fashion designer Loris Diran and stylist Christo to unveil some of his Spring 2009 collection.

On September 7, 2008 the curtain will fall on Broadway for the final performance of Rent. The producers of this landmark Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize musical have generously donated a pair of 'prime' tickets to the final performance and closing night gala to be auctioned with the proceeds to benefit Broadway Cares / Equity Fights AIDS.
