The Television Academy has passed a group of new Primetime Emmy Awards rules which reflect the increasingly varied and expanding television landscape.

Multi-talented singer/songwriter and actor Nick Jonas is set to host Nickelodeon's 28th Annual Kids' Choice Awards, live from L.A.'s legendary 'Fabulous' Forum for the first-time ever on Saturday, March 28 (8-9:30 p.m. ET/PT, tape delayed for West Coast). Bill Moyers will present Lear with the Burkey Award, which recognizes a person or organization whose contributions have brought honor and dignity to writers.

Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for theatre, is pleased to announce the recipients of the Edgerton Foundation New Play Awards for the 2014-15 season. The awards, totaling $858,000, allow 26 productions extra time in the development and rehearsal of new plays with the entire creative team, helping to extend the life of the play after its first run.

Eleven promising young theatre artists will receive 2015 USITT Awards for Young Designers & Technicians in the Performing Arts -- the YD&T awards -- at USITT 2015 in Cincinnati, March 18-21.

Actress and singer Anna Kendrick will make a special appearance at the 87th Oscars, show producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron announced today. The Oscars, hosted by Neil Patrick Harris, will air on Sunday, February 22, live on ABC.

The recipients of the 2015 Martin E. Segal Awards, this year, expanded to encompass nominees from all of Lincoln Center's resident organizations, were announced today by Lincoln Center President Jed Bernstein. The awards will be presented at a special gala evening on the Adrienne Arsht Stage of Alice Tully Hall on March 2.

The winners of the 67th Annual DGA Awards will be announced today, Saturday, February 7, 2015 at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Los Angeles, hosted by actor Jane Lynch.

The winners of the '46th NAACP Image Awards' were announced last night during the live broadcast from Pasadena Civic Auditorium which aired on TV One (9-11 p.m. ET live/PT tape-delayed). The Hasty Pudding Theatricals, the oldest theatrical organization in the United States, celebrated Chris Pratt as the recipient of its 2015 Man of the Year Award. The Pudding is excited to honor a performer who became a bona fide Hollywood heavyweight in the past year. Pratt joined his Parks & Recreation co-star Amy Poehler, who was feted on January 29 as the Hasty Pudding's 2015 Woman of the Year. The winner of the 2015 Richard Rodgers Award for Musical Theater was announced earlier this week by the American Academy of Arts and Letters, which administers the Rodgers Awards: String, by Adam Gwon and Sarah Hammond. The show was awarded a Studio Production.
