Today, The Collaborator Party, headed by theatrical sound designers Lindsay Jones and John Gromada, announced several exciting new developments in their Tony night party for the theatre sound community and all of their collaborators.

First, The Collaborator Party has partnered with Virtualarts.tv to live-stream the entire event through the internet to anyone who wants to participate around the world. This streaming comes through the support of official live-stream sponsor USITT.

"We are truly thrilled to take our celebration of collaboration in theatre to an entirely new level," said Jones. "In addition to all of the attendees of the official party in New York, we're also now able to include collaborators in theatre from around the world."

Second, through the addition of several new sponsors including Sweetwater, tickets are being sold at a reduced price for 300 guests instead of the previously announced 200. These tickets will allow these guests to enjoy four hours of food and drinks for only $50. The party will take place on June 7, 2015 from 7-11pm at Houston Hall, 222 W Houston St. in New York City. Tickets are now on sale at www.collaboratorparty.com.

Finally, and perhaps the most exciting development, The Collaborator Party announced that they will be giving away over $20,000 worth of prizes during the event. These prizes come from over 40 of the leading audio manufacturers from around the world.

"We approached every company that we could think of and asked if they might be willing to support our Tony night party for the theatre sound community and their collaborators," said Gromada. "To our amazement, we immediately received very enthusiastic responses from many companies from all over the globe. They believe strongly in our cause and we are completely overwhelmed by their incredible support."

The prizes include virtual instruments, sample libraries, sound effects libraries, audio plug-ins and even a recording session of an original composition of the winner's choice with a 68 piece orchestra.

"The plan was to give away something to our guests every time that a Tony award was given away," said Jones. "But, at this point, we actually have more things to give away than the Tony Awards themselves. It's a pretty great problem to have."

Jones added that the prizes will only be awarded to guests who attend the event in New York City and that live-stream guests will not be eligible.

The lead sponsor for The Collaborator Party is Figure 53, makers of Qlab, the sound playback software used in many professional theatre productions, as well as Tixato, a ticketing software which will be used to sell admission to the party. Other sponsors include Lighting And Sound America Magazine, Masque Sound, Point Source Audio, LDI and Sweetwater.
