At a struggling liberal arts college, a history professor writes a mysterious equation on the board: x ≠ x. What begins as an academic controversy becomes something much bigger—an exploration of alternate realities, second chances, and whether love survives death. X ≠ X is a hopeful, thought-provoking play about grief, possibility, and the courage to imagine that this world may not be the only one.
