Grief Dialogues brings its signature anthology of ten-minute plays to Sarasota for the first time, opening Tree Fort Productions Projects' new season September 18 through 20, 2026. Six short plays from five playwrights across the country explore dying, grief, love, and what it means to be human, without ever tipping into sentimentality. This play is not sad or depressing. It's not even about death. It's about the privilege of being alive.

Producing Artistic Director Katherine Michelle Tanner and director Lee Gundersheimer lead a cast through work by Daniel Guyton, Elizabeth Coplan, Jeffrey Fischer-Smith, Barbara Blumenthal-Ehrlich, and Mark Harvey Levine. Every performance closes with a facilitated audience talkback, turning the evening into a shared conversation rather than a passive one. Saturday's 2:00 PM show adds a talkback with Suzanne O'Brien, author of The Good Death, and Sunday closes with a staged reading of Sarasota playwright Nya Chambless's new work, What Remains of Us.
