The Richey Suncoast Theatre, a non-profit originally built in 1925 and named after silent film star Thomas Meighan, opened in 1926. It added sound in 1930 but closed in 1934 due to the Great Depression. Reopened in 1938, it became a community theatre in 1972.

Mission: Educate and perform arts, host events, and provide a venue for artists.

Purpose: Offer a safe space for creation, collaboration, and performance, engaging the community through partnerships and outreach.

Affordable Pricing for the Community: The theatre aims to keep ticket prices accessible to ensure everyone in the community can enjoy the arts, supported by membership, sponsorship, grants, and outreach programs.
