My Fair Lady Photos - West End

Bartlett Sher’s glorious multi award-winning production of Lerner & Loewe’s much loved My Fair Lady which will transfer to the London Coliseum for a limited summer engagement in what will be the first major West End revival of the show for 21 years.

New rehearsal images have been released today of the company of My Fair Lady. The company features Harry Hadden-Paton as Henry Higgins, Amara Okereke as Eliza Doolittle, Stephen K Amos as Alfred P Doolittle, Dame Vanessa Redgrave as Mrs Higgins, Malcolm Sinclair as Colonel Pickering, Maureen Beattie as Mrs Pearce, and Sharif Afifi as Freddy Eynsford-Hill.

New images of Amara Okereke as Eliza Dootlitte and Harry Hadden-Paton as Henry Higgins have been released today along with a behind the scenes video captured at the photoshoot.

The Broadway at Birdland concert series was proud to present another More About The Melody concert, which celebrated three generations of a brilliant musical family: Richard Rodgers, Mary Rodgers and Adam Guettel. The very special one-night-only event took place on Monday, May 13.

As BroadwayWorld sadly reported earlier this week, Marni Nixon, perhaps best known for dubbing the singing voices of the leading actresses in films, including THE KING AND I, WEST SIDE STORY and MY FAIR LADY, passed away from breast cancer on July 24th. She was 86.

Moonlight Stage Productions' 33rd summer season continues with the Broadway hit YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN, presented professionally for the first time in Southern California, with performances now through September 7. YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN, based on the hilarious 1974 film by Mel Brooks and Gene Wilder that spoofed the horror film genre, opened on Broadway in 2007 and toured the U.S. in 2009. Al igual que el montaje de 2001 será dirigido por Jaime Azpilicueta y protagonizado por Paloma San Basilio, que compartirá escenario con Juan Gea, Joan Crosas, Ana María Vidal, y Víctor Díaz, entre otros muchos. BroadwayWorld Spain se adentró en los ensayos que tuvieron lugar en los estudios Fluge para conocer de cerca el trabajo que en menos de un mes se podrá ver sobre los escenarios en una gira que pasará por más de 20 ciudades de toda España durante 2012 y 2013.

Ayer se presentó 'My Fair Lady' en el teatro Arriaga de Bilbao, donde estará del 15 de agosto al 9 de septiembre. Pero antes pasará por Tenerife, Las Palmas Y San Sebastián. Allí estuvieron Juan de Gea y Paloma San Basilio junto a Ignacio Malaina, director gerente del Arriaga y Julia Gómez Cora, directora general de Stage Entertainment Spain.

Joining Lindsay Duncan (Judith Bliss), Jeremy Northam (Richard Greatham), Kevin R McNally (David Bliss) and Olivia Colman (Myra Arundel) in Howard Davies' production of Noël Coward's Hay Fever are Sam Callis (Sandy Tyrell), Freddie Fox (Simon Bliss), Jenny Galloway (Clara), Amy Morgan (Jackie Coryton) and Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Sorel Bliss). Running at the Noël Coward Theatre from 10 February - 2 June 2012, Coward's sublime comedy of bad manners has designs by Bunny Christie, lighting by Mark Henderson and sound by Mike Walker. Hay Fever press preview performances are Thursday 23 February at 7pm, Friday 24 February at 7.30pm and Saturday 25 February at 2.30pm and 7.30pm, with reviews embargoed until Monday 27 February 2012. A la lista de musicales que hacen las delicias de los espectadores españoles, muy pronto se sumará 'My Fair Lady' que se estrenará este verano, posiblemente comience con una gira de la que aún no se han concretado fechas ni lugares. Stage Entertainment prepara una nueva versión escénica del clásico de Frederick Loewe y por eso hoy ha organizado audiciones en Madrid.
