Kiss Me, Kate Photos - West End

Cortland Repertory Theatre presents another 'revival' for the third show in their 50th Anniversary season, the well-known backstage musical 'Kiss Me, Kate'. Last produced at CRT in 1984, this hilarious and tuneful show has music and lyrics by Cole Porter with book by Sam and Bella Spewack.

Just last night, Roundabout Theatre Company honored the great Chit Rivera at its 2022 Gala 'Paint the Town' at the Ziegfield Ballroom in New York City. The evening celebrated Ms. Rivera's contribution to the theater and include the presentation of The Jason Robards Award for Excellence in Theatre.

On Saturday, June 27, from 6:00-9:00 (ET). Cleveland Public Theatre's Staff will (safely and responsibly) broadcast Station Hope, a jubilant community event celebrating Cleveland's social justice history and exploring contemporary struggles for freedom and equity. In celebration of Pride, Playbill and Pride Plays will present four live streamed readings of plays by and about the LGBTQIA+ community every Friday in June in support of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

The final show in the critically acclaimed 2018 Broadway At Music Circus season is the series premiere of the hit musical comedy Little Shop of Horrors, which features a cast of Broadway veterans and is based on the campy 1960s cult horror film. Check out photos of the cast in action below!

Los Altos Hills will be alive with The Sound of Music this summer, when multi-award winning Foothill Music Theatre presents the Tony, Grammy, and Academy Award-winning musical. On Friday, May 4, Chita Rivera was awarded an honorary Doctor of Fine Arts Degree by the University of Florida, Gainesville, before thousands of graduating students and their families at the Class of 2018 Spring commencement. Rivera also presented a master class workshop to UF School of Theatre + Dance students and faculty following the graduation ceremony.

The Kleban Foundation just presented the 28th Annual Kleban Prize for Musical Theatre. Adjudication in the 2018 Kleban Prize for the most promising musical theatre lyricist category resulted in a tie between Alan Schmuckler and Amanda Yesnowitz, and the 2018 Kleban Prize for the most promising musical theatre librettist has been awarded to Christian Duhamel.
