On the Town Photos - Off-Broadway

REPRISE 2.0 (led by Producing Artistic Director Marcia Seligson), in association with the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television's Department of Theater (UCLA TFT) chaired by Brian Kite, presents its inaugural production of Sweet Charity.  Directed and choreographed by Kathleen Marshall with musical direction by Gerald Sternbach, the classic Broadway hit plays through July 1 at UCLA's Freud Playhouse. The Hypocrites is pleased to launch its 2016-17 season with the Chicago premiere of YOU ON THE MOORS NOW, Jaclyn Backhaus's comical mash-up of mythology and 19th century literary heroines, directed by Devon de Mayo. YOU ON THE MOORS NOW will play September 9 - October 30, 2016 at The Den Theatre's Heath Main Stage, 1329 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Chicago's Wicker Park neighborhood. The cast of Chicago, Broadway's longest running musical, is celebrating this production's twentieth birthday today! For this momentous day, the cast are taking to the streets, with a free concert at SummerStage in Central Park. Doors open at 7PM and the show begins at 8PM. We were lucky enough to catch up with some of the cast as they made their final preparations for today's show.

MUMBAI, 30th OCTOBER 2015: Hugely anticipated, Eros International and Hansal Mehta's 'Aligarh', opened the Jio MAMI 17th Mumbai Film Festival with Star India in a packed screening at Regal, Colaba tonight. This pivotal film marked the first time that a Hindi film opened the festival since 1997, the inaugural year of the Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival.

Actress and DANCING WITH THE STARS winner Rumer Willis made her Broadway debut as 'Roxie Hart' in Broadway's Chicago just last week. She will now play a 6-week limited engagement at the Ambassador Theatre (219 W. 49th St., NYC) through Sunday, November 1, 2015.

The Full Monty, with book by Terrence McNally, music and lyrics by David Yazbek, runs through Aug. 4, with performances at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2:30 p.m. Sundays, except for the Friday, July 27 performance, which will start at 8 p.m. Tickets are $20 for general admission and $16 for students and seniors age 65 and older.

The Town Hall, New York's landmark concert venue, conclude the 11th season of the acclaimed Broadway By The Year® Series with The Broadway Musicals of 1997 last night, June 20th. The highlight of the evening included reunion performances from the original Jekyll & Hyde stars including Robert Cuccioli (Tony Nominee), Linda Eder (Drama Desk Nominee) and Christiane Noll.

On June 3, 2011, for one night only, The Town Hall (123 West 43rd Street) presented Broadway star and Tony Award nominee, Kelli O'Hara in 'An Evening with Kelli O'Hara.' Ms. O'Hara also launched an album for Ghostlight Records, 'Always.'

The Town Hall (123 West 43rd Street), Times Square's landmark concert venue, welcomed Linda Eder for 'An Evening with Linda Eder' on Friday, May 20th at 8:00pm. Considered one of the greatest contemporary voices of our time, she won the Drama Desk award for her leading role as Lucy Harris in 'Jekyll & Hyde.'

The Town Hall, New York's landmark concert venue presented The Broadway Musicals of 1982 on Monday, May 16th at 8PM. Now in its 11th season, The Broadway By The Year ® Series is created written and hosted by Scott Siegel and produced by The Town Hall. In the series, Scott Siegel takes the audience on a musical travelogue, exploring the history of the Great White Way and providing social anecdotes while showcasing the beloved hits and lesser-known gems from the golden age of Broadway. Last night, February 14, Town Hall continued its 'Broadway by the Year' series with the Musicals of 1921, licking off the series 90th anniversary season. Written, created and hosted by Scott Siegel, the cast featured Erin Davie (A Little Night Music), Stephen Mo Hanan (Cats) Kevin Earley (Thoroughly Modern Millie), Liz Lark-Brown (2011 Nightlife Award Winner), Tony Award nominees Bobby Steggert (Ragtime), Kate Baldwin (Finian's Rainbow), Jeffry Denman (Drama Desk Nominee, Yank!), Erin Denman (42nd Street), and KendRick Jones (The Scottsboro Boys). Also featured were the 10 'Siegfeld' Follies Girls that will help recreate the look and style of a Broadway that existed 90 years ago, the year when Town Hall, itself, was built. Eric McCormack, Emmy Award winner for 'Will & Grace,' will play El Gallo, Lucas Grabeel from 'High School Musical' will play Matt, and Broadway star and Tony nominee Harry Groener will play Bellomy in 'The Fantasticks,' which concludes the 2008-2009 Reprise Theatre Company at the Freud Playhouse May 5-May 17 (press opening May 6).
