Jane McDonald takes on the starring role in Andrew Lloyd Webber's CATS when it returns to Blackpool direct from its sell-out season at the London Palladium in the West End. Jane, who is one of Britain's best loved singers, presenters and entertainers, will play the role of Grizabella. The hit show will run at the Blackpool Opera House for a strictly limited eight weeks from tonight 9 July and the Blackpool performances will be the only place theatre-goers can see CATS North of London in 2015.

The Daily Mail writes that Andrew Lloyd Webber has picked Beverley Knight to lead the London return of Cats as 'Grizabella' this autumn. Not only that, but the famed composer cast her without an audition.

According to the New Zealand Herald, Andrew Lloyd Webber's latest West End revival of Cats is headed to Auckland's Civic Theatre this September.

Andrew Lloyd Webber has confirmed earlier rumors of Cats' return to the London Palladium. The Daily Mail reports that the musical will run from October 23, 2015 to January 2, 2016 at the venue.

Kerry Ellis has joined the cast of Andrew Lloyd Webber's record-breaking musical Cats playing the role of Grizabella - and here she is!

According to the Daily Mail, Andrew Lloyd Webber wants Cats to return to the London Palladium over the holiday season next December before the musical pounces back to Broadway in 2016 -- hopefully starring Nicole Scherzinger.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Nicole Scherzinger just made her West End stage debut as 'Grizabella' in Andrew Lloyd Webber's record-breaking musical Cats, and according to a recent interview with the Daily Mail, Webber has plans to bring the show (and his new star) to Broadway. To do something like that in America would open up a billion doors for her.'He continued: 'She is what you might call an American theatre babe. I do believe she is the most exciting musical theatre artist I have found - well, that I have worked with - in very, very many years. I really do.'
