In 1935, on the set of the movie musical, Top Hat, composer Irving Berlin hummed a then unfamiliar tune to the film's star, Fred Astaire. He had envisioned the song as a centerpiece for a future film starring Astaire and his dance partner, Ginger Rogers. At the time, Berlin was in the midst of a project writing songs for each of the major holidays of the year, but based on his Jewish upbringing, the composer found that Christmas was the most difficult holiday to write for. Nevertheless, the legendary composer rose to the challenge and gave us what is now one of the most popular holiday songs in history, 'White Christmas.'

Holiday Inn, The New Irving Berlin Musical tells the story of Jim, who leaves the bright lights of show business behind to settle down on his farmhouse in Connecticut... but life just isn't the same without a bit of song and dance. Jim's luck takes a spectacular turn when he meets Linda, a spirited schoolteacher with talent to spare. Together they turn The Farmhouse into a fabulous inn with sensational performances to celebrate each holiday, from Thanksgiving to the Fourth of July.  When it comes down to it though, which holiday is best? The cast of HOLIDAY INN weighs in below!

This Thursday's show included a performance by the Broadway-bound cast of Holiday Inn. Cast members for the event included,  Corbin Bleu, Lora Lee Gayer, Megan Lawrence and Bryce Pinkham performing the numbers, 'Cheek to Cheek', 'Shaking the Blues Away', and 'Blue Skies.'
