A South Central PA native and Tony Award-Winning child actress, Bailey Ryon, recently seen on Broadway as one of the original actresses in the title role in Broadway's Matilda the musical, will perform at The Cinderella Ball tonight, March 7th at 6:30pm at The Gettysburg Hotel Ballroom located at One Lincoln Square in downtown historic Gettysburg. The Cinderella Ball is the 2014 Gala Benefit Concert for the non-profit organization the Gettysburg Community Theatre.

Today, March 4, Matt Harrington joins the cast of Matilda. He will be playing the role of Mr. Wormwood, Matilda's father, and replacing Gabriel Ebert. Harrington recently appeared in Broadway's Twelfth Night and Richard III, which transferred from the Shakespeare's Globe in 2013.

Barry O'Farrell announced today that the Royal Shakespeare Company's production of Matilda The Musical will make its Australian Premiere at Sydney Lyric Theatre in August 2015.

According to published reports, MATILDA, which is currently playing on Broadway at the Shubert Theatre, will make its Australian premiere at the Sydney Lyric Theatre in August 2015.

The Broadway League will soon launch KIDS' NIGHT ON BROADWAY, Monday, February 24, 2014 to Sunday, March 2, 2014. MATILDA THE MUSICAL, produced by the Royal Shakespeare Company and the Dodgers, announced today that a North American Tour will commence in May 2015. After technical rehearsals and performances in New Haven at the Shubert Theater, the tour officially opens at the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles and includes the SHN Orpheum Theatre in San Francisco, Seattle's 5th Avenue Theatre and Dallas' AT&T Performing Arts Center among others in the first season. Full touring schedule and casting will be announced at a later date.
