GRETEL!, a new folk rock musical developed as part of the First Stage Foundry Stage Series, combines the tale of HANSEL AND GRETEL with VASILISA THE BRAVE (the Russian Cinderella) into a story family audiences will find both compelling and inspiring.

Trinity Rep will continue its 2019-20 Season with a timeless classic retold, A Tale of Two Cities. Directed by Tyler Dobrowsky, who last brought audiences Little Shop of Horrors, this is a beautifully vibrant production that is at once sweepingly epic and profoundly personal. Based on the novel by Charles Dickens and adapted by resident acting company member Brian McEleney, the story famously depicts the best of times and worst of times. Transport Group has announced that its annual A Toast to the Artist gala will honor former Transport Group executive director Lori Fineman and Tony Award-winning director/choreographer Kathleen Marshall with the Transporting American Theatre Award.

TheatreZone, a Naples-based professional Equity theatre specializing in Broadway musicals, begins its 15th season with Home for the Holidays which will be presented at Dec. 13 and 14 at 7:30 p.m. and Dec. 14 and 15 at 2:00 p.m.

After a most successful run last December, For The Record's LOVE ACTUALLY LIVE encores at The Wallis beginning November 27, 2019. Due to overwhelming demand, the Madison Square Garden Company (MSG) has announced an additional show for Josh Groban's forthcoming residency at New York's iconic Radio City Music Hall. The residency was announced on Good Morning America and tickets went on sale today.  Performances will kick off on Valentine's Day, February 14, 2020, April 18, 2020 with an additional date on June 20th, 2020. Actor-singer-dancer-choreographer Adam Fleming became a part of Broadway history originating the roles of Sketch in Hairspray and Lucas in Bare. In 2005, he starred in David Brind and Adam Salky's acclaimed short film, Dare, about two teenage boys' tense, spark-filled encounter in a pool following high school play practice. Dare gained a cult following as part of Strand Releasing's 'Boys Life' series and ultimately achieved worldwide popularity via more than 12 Million views on Youtube. The fan fervor (and fan fiction!) eventually inspired a sequel, ten years later. The original and the sequel are now being presented together as The Dare Project and attracting new legions of fans.

The Firehouse Theatre has announced its 2020 season, which includes beloved classics, new work, a fan favorite, and a holiday show. The theme for the season is Do Something. The Willard Suitcases, a new musical by Julianne Wick Davis, makes its world premiere debut at the American Shakespeare Center on October 4, directed by Ethan McSweeny and featuring Nancy Anderson (Wonderful Town Broadway, Kiss Me Kate West End). Inspired by Jon Crispin's photographs of suitcases discovered abandoned in the derelict Willard Asylum, Davis' song-cycle imagines the lives of the patients who packed those bags.

Magic Light Pictures, the multi Oscar-nominated production company, has been providing festive family treats to BBC audiences for a decade. For Christmas 2019, they'll bring long-time favourite children's picture book The Snail And The Whale to BBC One.

Renée Zellweger stars as Judy Garland in the upcoming film JUDY. The film takes place in Winter 1968 and showbiz legend Judy Garland arrives in Swinging London to perform a five-week sold-out run at THE TALK of the Town.
