Broadway In Hollywood has announced their new 2022-23 season entitled, 'Simply the Best' - the first full season announcement in two years, consisting of eight Broadway national tour productions which will play both the Pantages and Dolby Theatres in Hollywood.

Overture Center for the Arts has announced the First National Tour of AIN'T TOO PROUD – THE LIFE AND TIMES OF THE TEMPTATIONS, the new Broadway smash hit musical, will play in Overture Hall from Tuesday, June 14 through Sunday, June 19 as part of the 2021/22 Broadway season. Broadway In Detroit announced today that tickets for the Fisher Theatre engagement of ANASTASIA, May 3-8, 2022, will go on sale Friday, March 11. Tickets start at $39 and will be available for purchase online at Ticketmaster.com and in person at the Fisher Theatre Box Office.

It's always nice when we see a show that has never been performed in Ventura County so we were looking forward to seeing 5-Star Theatricals' Something Rotten!, the 2015 sendup of Shakespeare that answers the question: 'What if Shakespeare had a rival?' Something Rotten! is a riotous romp with a twisted premise, as brother Nick and Nigel Bottom attempt to upstage (literally) theatre superstar Willie Shakespeare with their next production: the first musical. Due to the faulty efforts of a befuddled Nostradamus, the Bottom Brothers set out to produce their musical, titled Omelette. Recently, we visited with two stars from 5-Star's production: Justin Michael Wilcox, who plays Nick Bottom, and Aleks Pevec, who plays the strutting Shakespeare.
