Only the best get to try it, and Australia's Jemma Rix has nailed it more than 800 times since taking on the role. Here, she shares a little of her brain on musical theatre - and tells us what she thinks makes Wicked such a strong, special show.

The skill needed to adapt Gregory Maguire's novel into a stageable script takes both collaboration and out-of-the-box thinking. Working closely with the rest of the creative team, Wicked's book writer Winnie Holzman defined characters, built plot and weaved together themes to bring the story of Elphaba and Glinda to the stage. On Wednesday, October 30th, the blockbuster musical, WICKED, will celebrate its 10th Anniversary on Broadway, a milestone achieved by only ten other Broadway productions in history. The creative team and many of the musical's previous cast members will celebrate WICKED's first decade with a special performance, followed by a company party, on October 30th at 7:00pm. In addition, special promotions and appearances will be scheduled throughout the month of October, in celebration of the show's enduring worldwide popularity.
