Manca poco meno di un mese all'evento teatrale piu atteso da tutta la comunita teatrale di tutto il mondo: il 9 giugno infatti, al Radio City Music Hall di New York, si svolgera la 73esima edizione dei Tony Awards. Per la seconda volta, James Corden sara il presentatore di questa serata, dopo aver ricevuto un Emmy Award per la sua performance nel 2016. Il 30 aprile, Bebe Neuwirth e Brandon Victor Dixon hanno annunciato i nomi delle opere teatrali (play e musical) in diretta streaming. Noi di BroadwayWorld non stiamo piu nella pelle! Ma soprattutto non possiamo stare con le mani in mano e, per il bene comune, vogliamo parlarvi un po' dei protagonisti di quest'anno: attori e spettacoli per lo piu poco noti in Italia ma che rappresentano, senza ombra di dubbio, il meglio di questa nuova stagione di Broadway. Waitress announced today that Shoshana Bean will extend her run as Jenna through July 7. As previously announced, Jeremy Jordan will play his final performance as Dr. Pomatter on June 2.

MC Theatrical Productions today announced that it will present MIDNIGHT STREET, a dramatic new musical written and directed by Arnold L. BroadwayWorld is saddened to report that Broadway veteran Elizabeth Josephine 'Jo' Sullivan Loesser passed away yesterday, April 28, from heart failure in her New York City Home. She was 91 years old.

A&A BALLET (A&A), under the artistic direction of Anna Reznik and Alexei Kremnev, has announced the principal casting for 'Sleeping Beauty,' which will be performed at Chicago's Studebaker Theatre (410 S. Michigan Ave), May 4, 2019 at 2 p.m. and 7p.m. The production will star A&A BALLET Youth Company Member and 2019 Youth America Grand Prix honoree Trinity Santoro as Princess Aurora during the matinee staging, A&A BALLET Youth Company Member and recipient of American Ballet Theater's National Scholarship Grace Curry as Princess Aurora at the evening performance and BalletMet company member Michael Sayre as the Prince at both performances.

The 2019 Tribeca Film Festival, presented by AT&T, today unveiled its feature film lineup. Continuing its tradition of elevating exceptional storytelling rooted in today's global film communities, the 18th annual Festival will showcase debut works from emerging talent and new works from notable filmmakers. LHK Productions proved today that there is no place like LIVERPOOL as the cast of their wicked Easter panto The Wizard of Oz were in the city to launch the show, including X Factor stars Sean Smith and Lola Saunders.

Waitress just announced its next Cast Album Karaoke night will be held on March 7, and hosted by Bean. Bean made the announcement on Instagram, which gave us a first look at her in the iconic blue Waitress uniform!
