The Actors’ Gang Theater will debut We Live On, a new play based on Hard Times by Studs Terkel, on July 22nd. With additional text by Tim Robbins and the cast and under Robbins’ direction, the live virtual production will be presented in three parts and will run through September 4th. With music by Cameron Dye and David Robbins, this world premiere features 30 accounts of the Great Depression, including those of Dolores Huerta, Dorothy Day, and Cesar Chavez.

San Diego Repertory Theatre announced today the retirement of Managing Director Larry Alldredge. Having successfully led the downtown theatre through multiple construction projects and strong financial years, Alldredge will soon step down after thirteen years at the helm.

Today, Broadway San Jose announced the updated season lineup that will make up the company’s upcoming season. The season opens with HAMILTON (October 12–31, 2021), followed by the all-new touring production of Broadway’s Tony Award-winning musical, HAIRSPRAY (November 23–28, 2021) (replacing the previously-announced Anastasia).
