Written by Chalk Rep Artistic Circle member Eric Reyes Loo and directed by Chalk Rep Founding Member Jennifer Chang, in an innovative, immersive production featuring a full sensory experience.

Hailed for its "compelling and innovative programming (WQXR Radio)," dell'Arte Opera Ensemble today announced its 17th annual summer festival: Voices from the Tower exclusively featuring works composed by women.  The season will include the commissioned world premiere of Princess Maleine, with a libretto (based on the play by Maurice Maeterlinck) by Bea Goodman and music by Whitney George, and the first opera ever composed by a woman, La liberazione di Ruggiero by Francesca Caccini (1625), with a libretto by Ferdinando Saracinelli.  A scenes program will feature Cendrillon by Pauline Viardot and other operatic scenes by Thea Musgrave, Victoria Bond and others, and "Les Boulangers" will be a recital of songs featuring the works of Lili and Nadia Boulanger, their contemporaries and students.

National Alliance for Musical Theatre (Betsy King Militello, Executive Director) is thrilled to announce final casting for the 30th Annual FESTIVAL OF NEW MUSICALS along with The Songwriters Showcase and Midday Cabarets. Steely Dan announced today that the band will return to The Beacon Theatre stage for a nine-night residency of themed performances starting October 17, 2018.  The Rock and Roll Hall of Famers staged complete performances of several of their beloved classic albums from start to finish at The Beacon in 2008, 2009, 2011, 2013, 2015, and 2016. Included among the highlights of this year's extraordinary concerts are: performances of Steely Dan's Countdown to Ecstasy (1973), The Royal Scam (1976), Aja (1977), Gaucho (1980), plusDonald Fagen's solo album The Nightfly (1982), plus “By Popular Demand” and “Greatest Hits” nights. The Resident Acting Company, a new troupe drawn from the performing ensemble of The Pearl Theatre Company, will present a staged reading of 'The Belle's Strategem' by Hannah Cowley on Monday, October 29 at 7:00 PM at The Players Club, 16 Gramercy Park South.  The reading is the second installment of the troupe's 'The Language Series,' which is devoted to plays that delve into the use of words to lie, deceive, manipulate, conquer, tell the truth, work out the meaning of life and even to find love.

Full casting is today announced for HOME's major new production of Jean Genet's The Maids, between Friday 16 November - Saturday 1 December 2018. Based on the true story of murderous duo The Papin sisters, Genet's infamous The Maids is a radical modern classic. Well ahead of its time, it explodes with contemporary ideas about class conflict, sexual identity, and political outcasts.

Following a sell-out run at London's Sadler's Wells and a phenomenal 2015 tour, INALA will return to the UK in 2019, bringing together the two-time Grammy Award-winning South African choral legends, Soweto Gospel Choir with multi-award-winning choreographer Mark Baldwin (OBE) in this unique artistic collaboration. INALA will receive its West End premiere at The Peacock in London playing from 29 April to 18 May, with a press night on Wednesday 1 May. 2019 tour dates will be announced shortly.
