National New Play Network, the country's alliance of nonprofit theaters that champions the development, production, and continued life of new plays, announces its 83rd Rolling World Premiere (RWP): Wolf at the Door by Marisela Traviño Orta. The Roll kicks off at Member Theater New Jersey Repertory Company (October 18-November 18 in Long Branch), followed by Kitchen Dog Theater (April 11-May 5 in Dallas), Milagro (May 2-25 in Portland) and Halcyon Theatre (May 16-June 29 in Chicago).

Marshmello took home the award for 'Best EDM/Dance Artist or Group' last night at The 2018 IHEARTRADIO MMVAs, Canada's iconic music awards show. Upon accepting his award, fans got a thrilling surprise when the world renown DJ / producer (who remains anonymous behind that permanent smile) removed his helmet to 'reveal' none other than Shawn Mendes. Marshmello also delivered an incredible performance of his smash hit 'FRIENDS' with Anne-Marie. Making the night even more special, Marshmello and Anne-Marie were awarded with certified plaques for their song reaching triple platinum in Canada.

The Playwrights Realm (Katherine Kovner, Founding Artistic Director; Roberta Pereira, Producing Director) today announces the complete cast and creative team for the world premiere of Jonathan Payne's The Revolving Cycles Truly and Steadily Roll'd, directed by Awoye Timpo (Sept. 7-Oct. 6, at The Duke on 42nd Street, a New 42nd Street project).  This world premiere marks the first full production from the mordantly funny and unsparing voice of Jonathan Payne.

Ruby Rose is set to play Batwoman, the lesbian superhero for the CW, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Rose's Batwoman will first appear in the December DC crossover event, with Greg Berlanti planning a stand-alone series revolving around the character.

Crowded Outlet announces its next production, beep boop, a multimedia clown show created by physical comedian Richard Saudek (Balls at 59E59), TV and film composer Jesse Novak ("BoJack Horseman," "The Mindy Project") and director Wes Grantom (Lone Star Spirits, Eager to Lose). beep boop will play a limited engagement at HERE (145 6th Ave, New York, NY 10013; enter on Dominick, 1 Block South of Spring), performing Thursday September 6th through Sunday, September 30th.
