Formed in 2000, The Beautiful Mistake are back after a long hiatus, ready to release brand new music. The band released two full-length albums: the 2002 debut album, 'Light A Match, For I Deserve To Burn', and 2004's 'This Is Who You Are' on The Militia Group. They also released two EPs and had various songs featured on different compilation albums.

Musical legends Mariah Carey, Annie Lennox / Dave Stewart p/k/a Eurythmics, Ernie Isley / Marvin Isley / O'Kelly Isley / Ronald Isley / Rudolph Isley / Chris Jasper p/k/a The Isley Brothers, Steve Miller, Chad Hugo / Pharrell Williams p/k/a The Neptunes, Rick Nowels and William “Mickey” Stevenson will become the latest inductees of the Songwriters Hall of Fame at the organization's 51st Annual Induction and Awards Dinner. These legendary songwriters wrote mega-hits such as, 'Vision of Love,”  “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This),” “Shout,” “The Joker,” “Hollaback Girl,” “Heaven is a Place on Earth,” and “Dancing In The Street.” The star-studded induction event is slated for Thursday, June 11th at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City. Amazon Studios today announced the first group of series regulars set to star in the new Amazon Original series based on stories from the iconic 'The Lord of the Rings' novels by J.R.R. Tolkien. Newly revealed cast members including Robert Aramayo, Owain Arthur, Nazanin Boniadi, Tom Budge, Morfydd Clark, Ismael Cruz Córdova, Ema Horvath, Markella Kavenagh, Joseph Mawle, Tyroe Muhafidin, Sophia Nomvete, Megan Richards, Dylan Smith, Charlie Vickers, and Daniel Weyman. Production will begin in February.

MerleFest, presented by Window World, is proud to announce the next round of artist additions for MerleFest 2020, which will be held April 23-26. Melissa Etheridge, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real, The Marcus King Band, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, and John Cowan will be joining the annual homecoming of musicians and music fans on the campus of Wilkes Community College in Wilkesboro, North Carolina, in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. 

The Mystic Museum of Art (MMoA) is fortunate to have significant holdings in its permanent collection. The collection includes artwork by the institution's founding members and artists that also played a role in MMoA's development from Art Association to Art Center. Works by Charles Davis, Ward Ranger, Harve Stein, and Yngve Soderberg constitute the core of their collections. Local contemporary artists like Dan Truth, Charles Chu, and Sarah Stifler Lucas may also be found in the collection.

Minneapolis indie juggernauts, Solid Gold, are officially back with the single “Towns.” The song marks the first taste of new music from the trio of Zach Coulter, Matt Locher, and Adam Hurlburt since 2012's critically-acclaimed Eat Your Young. The band has spent the past several years focusing on several other high-profile collaborations (Coulter with GAYNGS and Taggart and Rosewood, and Hurlburt with Aero Flynn, GAYNGS and Har Mar Superstar). With mixing and production from Josh Berg and Ryan Olcott, “Towns” finds the band expanding upon their trademark dream-inducing electronic sound with layer upon layer of retro synth, deep bass, and washed-out vocals - balancing a unique hybrid of R&B and indie pop with ease. Coulter described the process of the single, 'We started melding Towns together in Matt's basement. I had the synth top line and a basic structure. The lyrics came shortly after and are all about seducing the idea of 'Faith' as a person in order to destroy it.' “Towns” is now available to stream or purchase on all digital platforms today. Toronto rock duo Bedouin Soundclash just released their critically-acclaimed fifth studio album MASS via Easy Star Records/Mr. Bongo/Sony Canada. The duo is currently touring with Matisyahu with a handful of northeast dates to close out 2019.

Atlantic Theater Company (Neil Pepe, Artistic Director; Jeffory Lawson, Managing Director) announces a one week extension for the world premiere production of Halfway Bitches Go Straight to Heaven by Pulitzer Prize winner Stephen Adly Guirgis (Between Riverside and Crazy), directed by Obie Award winner John Ortiz, and co-produced with LAByrinth Theater Company. ProArteDanza celebrates its 15th anniversary season with the Toronto Premiere of The 9th!, the full-length choreographed imagining of Ludwig van Beethoven's epic 9th Symphony, on stage November 6a?'9, 2019 at 8pm at Harbourfront Centre's Fleck Dance Theatre. Artistic Director Brigid Larmour today announces programming to complete Watford Palace Theatre's season for September 2019 - June 2020, following the world première of Mushy: Lyrically Speaking earlier this month.
