Yale Repertory Theatre will present the world premiere of Good Faith: Four Chats about Race and the New Haven Fire Department by Karen Hartman, directed by Kenny Leon, February 1-23, 2019 at Yale Repertory Theatre (1120 Chapel Street). Opening Night is Thursday, February 7.

Jacob's Pillow announces the full season lineup of Festival 2019 including world premieres, new commissions, international artists, anniversary celebrations, Pillow-exclusive engagements, and work developed at the Pillow Lab. Entering its 87th consecutive summer, Jacob's Pillow is home to the longest-running dance festival in the United States, a National Historic Landmark, a National Medal of Arts recipient, and has steadily expanded its reach in the field and its local community as a year-round center for dance research and development. Festival 2019 opens June 19, attracting audiences both on and off its site in the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts, through August 25.

For many years now, the famed Cirque du Soleil has been combining the two worlds of circus and theater to create some spectacular productions. The Museum of Arts and Design (MAD) is proud to announce Cannupa Hanska Luger as the winner of the inaugural Burke Prize for contemporary craft. Named for craft collectors Marian and Russell Burke, the prize constitutes an unrestricted award in the amount of $50,000, given annually to an artist age forty-five or under working in glass, fiber, clay, metal, or wood. Luger is the first recipient of the Burke Prize, which recognizes the achievements of a young artist working in and advancing the media and disciplines that shaped the American studio craft movement for which the Museum was founded.

This will be the Midwest premiere of Floyd's latest opera. The Florentine's production will also be recorded for international release. 

Australian indie pop artist Chela has released her new single “Shut You Up” feat. Banoffee HERE today via IHC 1NFINITY. The track shows off Chela's songwriting and production range, complemented by fellow Australian Banoffee's harmonic vocals. In the accompanying visuals, directed by Chela, the pair finds themselves trying to escape an addictive mobile video game that is infecting the world around them. 

ProArteDanza has been dazzling Canadian audiences with its signature, full-throttle physicality and emotionally resonant contemporary ballet performances since 2004. Season 2018 features the world premiere of Figaro 2.0, a full-evening dance work co-choreographed by the company's award-winning duo: Artistic Director Roberto Campanella and Artistic Associate Robert Glumbek. Figaro 2.0 runs at Harbourfront Centre's Fleck Dance Theatre in Toronto from Thursday November 1 - Saturday November 10. Figaro 2.0 draws inspiration from the wit and drama of Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro with a contemporary focus that explores the battle of the sexes, infidelity and, ultimately, the human condition - with some surprising twists from the original story along the way.

Premiere Stages at Kean University will present Martin Casella's Black Tom Island October 11-21 at Liberty Hall Museum (1003 Morris Avenue, Union, N.J.). Originally commissioned over a two-year cycle through Premiere's Liberty Live Commission, Black Tom Island will feature actors Damian Buzzerio, Mason Hensley, Jenna Krasowski and Bart Shatto. Producing artistic director John J. Wooten directs.
