And Berlin's new musical, Call Me Madam, was opening at New York's Imperial Theater with an advance of over one million dollars, by far the largest in Broadway history.

Rudy Ray Moore was a genius one-of-a-kind comedian who achieved legendary status for his role as Dolemite, the kung fu-fighting pimp. Now Donald H. Randell, Moore's manager and the President and CEO of the Donald H. Randell Experience, has announced an opportunity for fans to own a piece of Dolemite history. The master recordings of the entire Rudy Ray Moore main catalogue of comedy albums are up for auction through SongVest. Included are unreleased masters that include outtakes from comedy shows, instrumental tracks, and more.

Tony Award winner Karen Ziemba and Tony Award nominee Patrick Page head the dynamic cast of TheatreWorks Silicon Valley's benefit online reading of Shakespeare in Vegas, a rollicking comedy by Suzanne Bradbeer. Presented by TheatreWorks' New Works from Home program in partnership with Vegas Theatre Company, this fizzy comedy features the unlikely pairing of a Vegas impresario with a dream and a despondent New York actor who join forces to bring the Bard of Avon to Sin City. Directed by Las Vegas native and TheatreWorks' Artistic Associate and Director of New Works Giovanna Sardelli, Shakespeare in Vegas will be offered via video streaming from Thursday, July 23rd at 6PM (PT) until Monday, July 27th at 6PM (PT). A link to stream the show will be available at TheatreWorks.org for no charge, although donations are encouraged to support the 2019 Regional Theatre Tony-winning TheatreWorks Silicon ValleyBroadwayWorld recently caught up with Karen Ziemba from her home in New York. BendFilm announced today a lineup full of creative ways to see films outside in the comfort of a car or in the open air of Tin Pan Alley. Films in the lineup are a wide range of adventure stories, throwback classics, music documentaries, blockbusters and more.  Several screenings have filmmaker Q&As or post film discussions planned.  In addition to the in-person screenings, BendFilm will continue to offer virtual rentals of new release films through the Tin Pan Theater.  New titles are listed each week at TinPanTheater.com. 

Paul Giamatti and Corey Stoll To Star In Reading of I, MY RUINATION for The Cape Cod Theatre Project

The Cape Cod Theatre Project (CCTP) announces that Academy Award-nominee Paul Giamatti, and Golden Globe-nominee and star in Showtime's Billions, Corey Stoll will perform in playwright Kevin Artigue's, I, My Ruination, directed by CCTP Artistic Director Hal Brooks. The play will be live-streamed on July 23rd and 25th at 7:00pm and patrons can attend the performances via an All Access Pass with a donation of $100 or more. A limited number of individual performance passes will also be made available later this month.
