Pink House Productions announced today the New York City premier of YOU, ME AND THAT GUY, a hilarious 80 minute comedy about a recent college grad who uses the magic of a mystical open mic to heal her relationships with her technology saturated family and friends. Written by Stephen Sanow*, YOU, ME AND THAT GUY will open the 2014 Araca Project.

On the eleventh episode of Master the Mess from AT&T and Reese Witherspoon's production company Hello Sunshine, Clea and Joanna help expectant mother Taylor Brown prepare for rainbow twins by giving the nursery a makeover. Then, The Home Edit creates merchandise with their favorite phrases. In episode twelve, Clea and Joanna encounter their past in Clea's old home when they help Monica Shellabarger make over the “secret room” that functions as her son's art room. The Home Edit also visits their new Nashville office.

Hidden Cabaret will be offering a series of evenings of new and established talent. It will be located in The Secret Room at 707 8th Avenue just below Il Forno and Iron Bar. This beautiful room will accommodate up to 173 persons. Food and beverages will be available from a menu curated for Hidden Cabaret.

Hidden Cabaret will present Quarter-Life Crisis, an evening featuring some of New York's best young talent singing songs that tell their stories.

On Monday, November 18th, LGBTQIA+ stars from Broadway, Off-Broadway, and television will come together in support of The Fund for College Auditions (TFCA) at The Secret Room as part of the Hidden Cabaret series. Plays & Players, Center City Philadelphia's longest continually operated theatre and Philadelphia Dramatists Center will co-present three staged readings of new zombie themed plays in the Mmmmmm Brains New Play Festival, running March 20 and 27 in the Third Floor Skinner Studio at Plays & Players Theatre. Joy Cutler's The Frogg Prince, Alex Dremann's The Zombie Aesthete, and Brian Grace-Duff's Remains will be performed on both evenings. Cutler, Dremann, and Grace-Duff are all members of Philadelphia Dramatists Center, a community of playwrights, collaborating artists, and audience members dedicated to creating and nurturing new work.

New York City-based actor and cabaret star Stephen S. Miller, the host of the internet TV show 'The Mama Rose Show,' will be making his London cabaret debut via London-based Harold Sanditen's Open Mic Zoom on Thursday, July 30, titled a?oeA Midsummer Night's Stream,a?? which is the last show of the summer.

The Hidden Cabaret, the new cabaret series at the Secret Room at 707 8th Avenue, will unveil its latest production on February 10th at 7PM.

In early 2015, Stephen Hanks decided to transition from being a cabaret show reviewer (first for Cabaret Scenes Magazine and then as the Cabaret Editor and lead reviewer for BroadwayWorld.com) into producing and promoting shows. Having been inside the world of New York cabaret for just four years at the point, Hanks would hear stories about award-winning or highly-praised shows of the past that he'd wished he'd seen. By August, a new variety show series was born at the late Metropolitan Room in Chelsea called NEW YORK CABARET'S GREATEST HITS.

Juanita Hall was an American musical theatre and film actress. 1950, Hall became the first Black actor to win a Tony Award, for her portrayal of Bloody Mary in the original Broadway production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's South Pacific.  

Broadway producer and and actress Haila Stoddard passed away on February 21 in her Connecticut home. She was 97 years old.

STEPHEN HANKS' CABARET ALL-STARS FIGHT CANCER, a fundraiser dedicated to the late cabaret performer Charlotte Patton, will be presented on March 10, 2020 at 7 pm at Hidden Cabaret (at The Secret Room), Behind the Cooper Door at 707 8th Avenue, between 44th and 45th Streets. Featuring Musical Theater Composer Michael Roberts at the piano, the roster of All-Stars include: Sandra Bargman, Remy Block, Lane Bradbury, Bruce Clough, Meg Flather, Laurie Krauz, Erica Linn, Jeff Macauley, Marissa Mulder, Craig Pomranz, Scott Raneri, Julie Reyburn, Sarah Rice, Billie Roe and Tom Toce. Since immersing himself into the world of New York Cabaret in late 2010, Stephen Hanks has been a reviewer, editor, performer, producer, publicist, and promoter. Now he's diving head first into helping a new cabaret club get off the ground. The former lead New York cabaret reviewer/section editor for BroadwayWorld.com (between 2012-2016) has joined the producing team at HIDDEN CABARET, which is now 'in residence' on Monday nights (and select other weekdays) at the Secret Room on 707 8th Avenue (behind 'The Copper Door' between 44th and 45th Street) in Manhattan.

The HIDDEN CABARET is no longer a SECRET. Since starting its Monday night residency at the Secret Room on Eighth Avenue in Hell's Kitchen in November, the Hidden Cabaret has staged two sold-out Variety shows, as well as a recently critically acclaimed solo show featuring American Idol finalist Jeremiah Lloyd Harmon.
