BroadwayCon has announced the initial MainStage lineup, including sold-out sensation Be More Chill, Tony Award-winning musical Come From Away, The Prom, and Pretty Woman. Museum of Art and Design (MOAD) at Miami Dade College (MDC) will present SUPERFLEX: We Are All in the Same Boat, the first large-scale exhibition of the critically acclaimed Danish collective SUPERFLEX in the United States. On view in the Museum's newly renovated facility at MDC's Freedom Tower in downtown Miami, the exhibition will focus on the group's humorous and playfully subversive installations and films that deal with the economy, financial crisis, corruption, migration, and the possible consequences of global warming. SUPERFLEX: We Are All in the Same Boat will be on view from Nov. 15 through April 21, 2019.

Theater and film meet when the LGBT dystopian tale 'Hiding in Daylight' starts filming in September in New York State. Playwright Gregory G. Allen wrote the story as both a one act play and a screenplay. After filmmaker Cheryl Allison read the script, she knew she wanted to make the film. Casting has been announced with Gerald McCullouch, Judy McLane, Julee Cerda, and Gary Hilborn starring in the ensemble piece. Allison's film company WOW Films and Allen's company ASD Media & Entertainment have co-produced the upcoming short with producer Carina Rush and Allison will direct. It will hit the festival circuit in 2019.

Since the launch of YouTube Originals in 2015, Original content has been viewed more than 650 million times.

The Playwrights Foundation, a launchpad for exceptional plays and playwrights announces the lineup for the 2018 Bay Area Playwrights Festival (BAPF) running July 20-29, 2018. The six Playwrights were selected from more than 700 submissions nationally, 85% from outside the bay area, from more than 2 dozen states and Canada - coast to coast a very North American cohort.

Otherworld Theatre, which recently opened the world's first venue dedicated to the performance of Science Fiction and Fantasy genres, has announced its first season at its new home. Artistic Director Tiffany Keane Schaefer made the announcement this evening at a gathering of company donors, board members, and patrons in its newly acquired theater location, 3914 N Clark Street, Chicago, IL 60613.
