Dallas Theater Center has announced the addition of several full-time resident artists!

Off The Lane will host their 2nd Annual Empower Artists Gala on Monday November 8th at 7:30pm ET. The hour-long event will honor Ann Reinking’s legacy through the launch of the Ann Reinking Scholarship Program, with special performances by Tony Nominee and Grammy Award Winner Brenda Braxton (Chicago, DreamGirls, Smokey Joe’s Cafe), and Helen Hayes Award Winner Bianca Marroquin (Chicago, Fosse/Verdon, The Pajama Game, In the Heights), hosted by Ann Reinking Advisory Board member and Golden Globe Nominee, Marilu Henner (Chicago, Taxi, Grease, Over Here!, Getting the Band Back Together).

The SHU Community Theatre will present a month of film programming in November. Thursday, Nov. 4 & Friday, Nov. 5 at 7 p.m.: The Auschwitz Report. The harrowing true story of Freddy and Walter, two young Slovak Jews deported to Auschwitz in 1942.

Stewart Copeland brings his touring show STEWART COPELAND: POLICE DERANGED FOR ORCHESTRA to The Soraya November 4, 2021. The much-lauded drummer (hailed by Rolling Stone Magazine as “one of the greatest drummers of all time”), now also composer; Stewart performs his compositions of his dearrangements of songs he’d played while in the very popular band The Police.

Dallas Theater Center (DTC) proudly presents the world premiere of The Supreme Leader. The new comedy by Don X. Nguyen begins performances on October 28 at the Kalita Humphreys Theater.

Historical themes have always been incorporated into stage shows, from classic Broadway musicals to contemporary productions. Contrary to what some may believe, not all historical-themed productions are old Broadway musicals. Several historical musicals have gone on to become classics, though this is not specifically a golden age musicals list.

Westport Country Playhouse has changed the date of “Family Fun Day” to Sunday, October 31, from 11 to 3 p.m., due to inclement weather forecast for October 30, the previously announced date. “Family Fun Day” features activities for kids, treats, food trucks, community food drive, beer tastings, and costume parade for kids and dogs.

‘Just A Notion’ is the third single from ABBA’s new studio album Voyage, which is out Friday November 5th on Capitol Records. The album includes the previously released singles ‘I Still Have Faith In You’ and ‘Don’t Shut Me Down’. The group has also released more tickets for their upcoming 'Voyage' concert. Westport Country Playhouse announces its upcoming 92nd Season, from April to November 2022, featuring five productions, staged before a live audience, under the artistic direction of Mark Lamos. “The season will make you feel, think, and spark conversation,” said Lamos.

Kimmel Cultural Campus has announced the much-anticipated return of in-person performing arts across their venues: the Kimmel Center, the Academy of Music, and the Merriam Theater.
