The Bronx Museum of the Arts is proud to present Image of an Image, a new survey of the work of artist Rochelle Feinstein, a Bronx native, which will be on view November 7, 2018 through March 3, 2019. Deeply informed by abstraction, while also conveying a keen sensibility to and understanding of contemporary culture and our everyday use of language, Feinstein has spent four decades continually probing the relevance and possibilities of the abstract tradition in a culture constantly in flux.

Encompass New Opera Theatre will present the world premiere of Anna Christie with music by Edward Thomas set to a libretto by Joseph Masteroff, beginning on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 8pm, running through Sunday, October 21, 2018, at the Baruch Performing Arts Center (at 55 Lexington Avenue, entrance on 25th Street, between Lexington and Third Avenues). 

The Chamber Music Society of Detroit's 75th anniversary season will celebrate its history with special concerts in venues that were home to its series over the years, including Orchestra Hall and the DIA, while expanding its reach with a new Regional Partnership series offering four weekends of performances in Grosse Pointe, Canton and Rochester Hills. Calling all TV fans, the Tribeca TV Festival is back on the big screen bringing audiences together to discover new series and be the first to see favorite new season premieres. The 2nd Tribeca TV Festival will celebrate unforgettable storytellers who have shaped what 'peak TV' is today and introduce new voices in episodic storytelling. Over four days at Spring Studios in New York City, each event will feature a conversation with the stars and creators of favorite and soon-to-be-favorite shows. Marcie Gorman, Executive Producer & Artistic Director for MNM Theatre Company, today announced the cast of its fourth and final production in 2018, the rock n' roll musical GREASE, the most popular movie musical in history. Co-presented by MNM and the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts, the show with a 15-person cast and backed by a live six-piece band, will run November 16 through December 2 in the Kravis Center's Rinker Playhouse.

Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts' Live & Local Fridays concert series opens on Sept. 7 and showcases eight Arizona groups spanning rockabilly-honky tonk, indie-folk, African rhythms, blues, hip-hop, folk-rock, jazz, indie-rock and pop on Friday evenings through Sept. 28.

The Madison Square Garden Company (NYSE: MSG) announced today that in honor of Billy Joel's unprecedented achievement of 100 lifetime performances at The World's Most Famous Arena, Joel's piano will be displayed at The Garden. Joel's 100th lifetime performance comes 40 years after his first MSG performance, on December 14, 1978, and just four and a half years after he began his legendary residency at The Garden. The piano will be on display beginning today outside of Chase Square in front of Madison Square Garden. Governor Andrew M. Cuomo has also officially proclaimed July 18, 2018 as "Billy Joel Day" in the State of New York in honor of Joel's extraordinary history of leadership and contributions to the music industry and New York State.
