TLC announced today that its third annual GIVE A LITTLE Awards, presented in partnership with Love Is Louder, a project of The Jed Foundation, will take place on October 2, 2019 at Union Park Events in New York City. The ceremony will highlight advocates who work tirelessly to eradicate bullying and promote kindness for future generations. This year's event will be hosted by Emmy Award-winning journalist and TLC personality Lisa Joyner (“Long Lost Family,” “Taken at Birth”).

The City University of New York (CUNY), the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs (DCLA), and The Rockefeller Foundation have announced the launch of the fourth year of the CUNY Cultural Corps, which places students in paid internship positions with New York City non-profit cultural institutions. The program exposes students to opportunities and future careers in the arts while expanding the cultural community's engagement with CUNY's diverse pool of talent. As of the current fiscal year, funding for the Cultural Corps has been made a permanent line item in DCLA's budget, providing long-term support for the program. The Rockefeller Foundation has also established an endowment-based fellowship to support several internships each year in perpetuity. 

Ovation TV, America's only arts network, has announced the latest host and guest of the new season of Inside the Actors Studio. The upcoming episode will feature Pedro Pascal (Wonder Woman 1984, The Mandalorian) interviewing four-time Oscar nominee Willem Dafoe (The Lighthouse, At Eternity's Gate) and will air on Sunday, October 27 at 10pm ET / 7pm PT.

World-renowned Japanese martial arts and drum art extraordinaire Drum Tao's new show 'Rhythm of Tribe, Time Travel Chronicles,' which features the costume design by Junko Koshino, one of Japan's most highly-acclaimed fashion designers, will play at The Theatre at Solaire in Parañaque City from September 5 to 8, 2019.

The National Comedy Center was formally designated as the nation's official cultural institution dedicated to the art form of comedy on Tuesday, March 12. In a tremendous bi-partisan show of support, both the Senate and House of Representatives passed this bill in February, and the president signed it into law on Tuesday, recognizing the Center as the "Official National Comedy Center of the United States."

The Tony Award winning Oregon Shakespeare Festival (OSF) will launch its 84th year and Bill Rauch's final season as artistic director with preview performances beginning on March 1. The 2019 season officially kicks off Friday night, March 8, in the Angus Bowmer Theatre with Shakespeare's As You Like It (director, Rosa Joshi). On Saturday afternoon, Cambodian Rock Band (director, Chay Yew) opens in the Thomas Theatre, and Hairspray The Broadway Musical (director, Christopher Liam Moore) opens that evening in the Angus Bowmer Theatre.
