Limón Dance Company will celebrate part of its 75th anniversary season at the Pillow in the fifth week of Festival 2022 from July 20-24. The program will feature works by Limón, Doris Humphrey, and Olivier Taparga. In addition, Music From The Sole will perform tap's afro-diasporic roots on the Henry J. Leir stage from Wednesday through Sunday.

On Friday, May 27, 2022, the Royal Scottish National Orchestra will release their new album, William Grant Still, on Naxos. This album includes world premiere recordings of 13 works by 20th-century composer William Grant Still and features solo violinist Zina Schiff with maestro Avlana Eisenberg leading the orchestra.

Starting February 5th Memoirs of Blacks in Ballet (MoBBallet.org) will launch four new orbits to its popular The Constellation Project: Mapping the Dark Stars of Ballet: Raven Wilkinson, the First Negro Classic Ballet Company, American Ballet Theatre's Negro Unit and Agne de Mille's The Four Marys, and Janet Collins.

That first year in Vancouver, the artistic duo opened Centro Flamenco School and founded the Vancouver International Flamenco Festival, now in its thirty-second year. As musical director for the dance company Flamenco Rosario, Victor arranged and composed for their original creations and performed as the lead guitarist. The Limón Dance Company returns to Kaatsbaan for a four week residency that culminates with a virtual performance featuring three dances: a new work by choreographer Chafin Seymour and two of Limón's masterpieces, The Moor's Pavane (1949) and There is a Time (1956). The live stream performance from Kaatsbaan Cultural Park’s stage will take place on Saturday, December 19 at 7pm. 

New York City Ballet today announced that it will be unable to perform at the David H. Koch Theater during the winter and spring of 2021 due to continuing health concerns and mandatory New York State and New York City regulations prohibiting large-scale, live indoor gatherings which are required for both NYCB's rehearsals and performances.

The National Ballet of Canada mourns the passing of former dancer and Senior Ballet Mistress Joanne Nisbet. In her over 40-year career, Ms. Nisbet was instrumental to the success of the National Ballet and will be deeply missed by many.

Veteran actor and dancer, Virginia Doris, known professionally as Virginia Bosler passed away on August 30 at the age of 93.
