Some of the greatest musical moments happen only once, in a live setting, and if you're not there to experience them at the time, they're lost to history. But every now and then, a buried treasure is discovered that brings a lost moment back to life and thrills music fans. Such is the case with this recently unearthed live recording of the all-star bluegrass band the Good Old Boys playing at Margarita's Cantina, a Santa Cruz club, in February of 1975.

Cannery Casino Hotel will welcome 2019 with highly-acclaimed performers at The Club in January, including rock band Heart By Heart and Tina Turner tribute singer Cookie Watkins. January entertainment will also feature free live entertainment at Pin-Ups Bar and Victory's Bar & Grill all month long.

After yet another summer of record participation, Side by Side with the Chicago Philharmonic will perform for the second time at South Shore Cultural Center on December 16 2018 for a holiday community concert with guest conductor Emanuele Andrizzi. The program, presented as a part of the Chicago Park District's Night Out in the Parks initiative, invites students and community members to play alongside professional Chicago Philharmonic musicians in a series of free, public concerts in Chicago's beautiful parks. Joining the orchestra and community members for this special holiday concert will be members of the Hyde Park Youth Symphony, bringing together diverse young musicians from the South side of Chicago.

The Country Music Association will honor the Messina Touring Group's CEO Louis Messina with this year's CMA Touring Lifetime Achievement Award. Messina received the news personally from Country legend George Strait, who made a surprise phone call last Friday morning. Final voting for the CMA Touring Awards, which highlight vital behind-the-scenes members of the touring industry, closes Thursday, Dec. 13. The CMA Touring Awards will take place Monday, Jan. 28 at Nashville's Marathon Music Works. Jerrod Niemann will return to host the ceremony.

Instead of contributing any new Jimmy Dean memorabilia to their collection, they uncover secrets long kept and truths about themselves.

The Fred Ebb Foundation in association with the Roundabout Theatre Company will present the fourteenth annual Fred Ebb Award for aspiring musical theatre songwriters to Will Reynolds and Eric Price. The award, named in honor of the late award-winning lyricist Fred Ebb, will be presented by Alan Cumming on Monday, November 26th from 6-8pm at a by-invitation-only ceremony in the Penthouse Lounge of The American Airlines Theater.

The Eli and Edythe Broad Stage in Santa Monica presents Billy Valentine, today, November 2 at 8:00pm.  Billy Valentine is the third evening of blackbox @ the edye, which transforms The Edye into a club featuring up-and-coming jazz and blues artists.  The series is curated and hosted by The Reverend Shawn Amos; he and his house band perform at select shows during the season as well.   

Due to popular demand, Joan Baez will extend her worldwide “Fare Thee Well” 2018 tour into 2019 including a newly confirmed show at Selma, AL's historic Walton Theatre on April 9. The intimate performance will mark Baez's first return to the area since joining Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in Montgomery for the 1965 civil rights march. Broadway actor turned CGI Film Director Charles Mandracchia, wins BEST ANIMATION & BEST PRODUCTION DESIGN in the Hollywood Dreamz Film Festival for his film BIG PASTA - The Jazzy, Cigar Chomping, Honky-Tonk Musical. Mandracchia is from the original cast of Tommy Tune's Grand Hotel the Musical.
