Hit songwriters J. Fred Knobloch, Thom Schuyler, Tony Arata and renowned harmonica player Jelly Roll Johnson will present the first true in-the-round performance for the Bluebird Cafe Songwriter Series at The Studio at Opry City Stage in the heart of Times Square on Friday, September 14, 2018. Knobloch and Schuyler originated the first in-the-round show at Nashville's famed Bluebird Cafe over 36 years ago. Set in the center of the room, in-the-round has evolved into the venue's signature format, and the two creators, along with Arata and Johnson have been dubbed “The Bluebird Cafe's Fab Four.”

According to Entertainment Weekly, The Michael Jackson Estate and Columbia Live Stage have confirmed plans for a Broadway-bound Michael Jackson musical. The project will feature a book by two-time Pulitzer Prize-winner Lynn Nottage, and will be directed and choreographed by Christopher Wheeldon.

Turner Classic Movies (TCM) will pay homage to the glittering world of Hollywood musicals with Mad About Musicals!, a special month of programming celebrating timeless movie musicals such as The Wizard of Oz, Singin' in the Rain and Cabaret. TCM is once again partnering with Ball State University and Canvas to offer a free online multimedia course tied to this programming special about the history of the musical genre and its evolution with cultural and technological shifts. There's no time more appropriate for a PEACE AND LOVE concert than now, and on April 6, 2018, TJP (formerly known as The Jost Project) is proud to perform in the Great Stair Hall of the Philadelphia Museum of Art as part of their Friday Nights series. TJP will perform two sets of music at 5:45 and 7:15 p.m. As the perfect complement to the Museum's exhibit -- Design in Revolution: A 1960s Odyssey - TJP's music and the exhibit have a similar focus on the 1960s, a time of tumultuous political and social change, when messages of "peace and love" were everywhere. The exhibit is in Perelman Building, located at 2525 Pennsylvania Avenue, across from the museum. The concert is free with museum admission.
