Jason O'Neill was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland. He became passionate about Irish dancing, Irish culture and music as a young boy and seeing RIVERDANCE changed his life. It became his goal to become a professional Irish dancer and perform in RIVERDANCE, which he has now done for 10 years. I had the chance to speak with O'Neill prior to his arrival in Montreal where the RIVERDANCE 25th ANNIVERSARY tour will play a limited engagement at Salle Wilfred-Pelletier, Place des Arts, January 10-12, 2020.

YOSHIKI appeared as a surprise guest last week (Dec. 11) during the Tokyo Dome performance of KISS's 'End of the Road World Tour.' He shocked the audience by performing piano and drums for two songs during the encore of KISS's only Tokyo show on the band's “Final Tour Ever.” YOSHIKI will also perform with KISS at their Osaka performance at the Kyocera Dome on December 17, 2019.

What happens when 1880 Western bandits are brought back to life in Azusa, CA by a space alien? Sam Shepard's The Unseen Hand joins Odyssey Theatre Ensemble's 50th Anniversary a?oeCirca '69a?? Season of significant and adventurous plays that premiered around the time of the company's inception, coupled with Shepard's gritty and audacious Killer's Head. Longtime Shepard collaborator Darrell Larson directs both plays for a Jan. 18 opening at the Odyssey Theatre in West L.A., where performances will continue through March 8.

The evening will celebrate Tony Award-winning actor Matthew Broderick and Emmy Award-winning actor, producer and designer Sarah Jessica Parker; Tony Award-winning actor and Chairman of The Actors Fund Brian Stokes Mitchell; Academy Award-winning producer, co-owner of the New York Football Giants, and philanthropist Steve Tisch; and American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO) President Richard L. Trumka as they receive The Actors Fund's Medal of Honor.

Rivendell Theatre Ensemble announces its 2020 Season including the World Premieres of The Tasters by Meghan Brown, directed by RTE member Devon de Mayo and Spay by Madison Fiedler and directed by RTE member Hallie Gordon, as well as 45 Plays for America's First Ladies by Chloe Johnston, Sharon Greene, Genevra Gallo-Bayiates, Bilal Dardai, and Andy Bayiates, in a co-production with Chicago's The Neo-Futurists. The Public Theater (Artistic Director, Oskar Eustis; Executive Director, Patrick Willingham) announced a second and final extension today for the New York revival of A BRIGHT ROOM CALLED DAY, written by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Tony Kushner. Directed by Oskar Eustis, this scorching new version of Kushner's first play began performances in the Anspacher Theater on Tuesday, October 29 with an official press opening on Monday, November 25. A BRIGHT ROOM CALLED DAY was originally scheduled to close on December 8, but has now been extended twice through Sunday, December 22.

Performed in Told by an Idiot's trademark visual style, The Strange Tale of Charlie Chaplin and Stan Laurel looks at an unknown period in comic history when two maverick imaginations collided for a brief time. Playing fast and loose with the facts, the show is no nostalgic bio-drama, but an hilarious and deeply moving homage to two English men who changed the world of comedy forever. The show includes an original piano score played live each night, composed by MOBO Award-winner Zoe Rahman.

Freeform Announces the KICKOFF TO CHRISTMAS Starting November 1

As the Halloween season comes to a close, Freeform will continue to be the home for all holiday viewing with the second year of the “Kickoff to Christmas” programming event, starting on Friday, Nov. 1. With a month full of holiday fun, this year will also include two new Freeform originals. The film “Turkey Drop,” from Muse Entertainment, will air Saturday, Nov. 23, at 9:00-11:00 p.m. EST/PST.
