The Lark, an international play development laboratory dedicated to amplifying the voices of playwrights, announces that founder John Clinton Eisner is retiring after 27 years as Artistic Director, with the intent to hand over leadership to a new generation of theatrical talents.

John Clinton Eisner co-founded The Lark in 1994 as a community of theater professionals dedicated to the playwright’s vision. He has grown The Lark into an award winning “think tank for the theater,” with local, national and global reach.

Cleveland Public Theatre's (CPT) Executive Artistic Director Raymond Bobgan will present CPT's celebrated Student Theatre Enrichment Program's (STEP) 2020 December performance. STEP is Cleveland's longest-running arts and job training program for teens. This winter, the 2020 STEP ensemble, led by India Nicole Burton, will present a virtual performance followed by a short post-show conversation.

Hudson Guild Theatre Company's world premiere of Tasha Partee's A Five Mile Radius will receive a special Encore Presentation on the Hudson Guild YouTube channel starting this Friday October 30th at 7:30PM with continuous streaming through Sunday November 1st ending at 5PM. The virtual production has been imaginatively filmed using zoom technique. Jim Furlong and Devin Klos direct a twelve actor cast in this timely play which caps off Hudson Guild Theatre Company's 25th Anniversary Season.

Today on Friday, October 16th at 7pm, a special virtual reading of 'One Empire, Under God' - Anthony J. Piccione's new full-length drama exploring religious extremism & right-wing populism - will be broadcast via Zoom to monthly patrons on Patreon, as well as selected invited guests. Immediately after the reading, there will be a talkback - moderated by co-producer Jay Michaels - featuring the playwright, director & cast.

Following the success of Noël Coward's Private Lives in September which raised £44,000 for the Royal Theatrical Fund, Lockdown Theatre today announces a live virtual table read of The Real Inspector Hound by Tom Stoppard, in association with The Royal Theatrical Fund. The table read will take place via Zoom, followed by a live Q&A with the cast and director on Sunday 25 October at 7pm.
