'Indecent,' by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Paula Vogel, opened on June 9 at Center Theatre GroupAhmanson Theatre. Directed by Rebecca Taichmanin a co-production with Huntington Theatre Company, the Tony Award-nominated 'Indecent' will run through July 7, 2019.

Paula Vogel's INDECENT has already begun its previews at the Ahmanson Theatre. Vogel and director Rebecca Taichman continue their collaboration, from the workshops and the Broadway run (for which Rebecca won her Tony Award directing INDECENT), to this co-production between the Center Theatre Group and the Huntington Theatre Company. Intimacy leads to divisions within the families, stories and decades are crossed and intertwined, and the stage for Front Porch Theatricals' bluegrass musical Bright Star is set.

F. Scott Fitzgerald In Westport this spring celebrates two of the town's famous former residents, Zelda and F. Scott Fitzgerald, who lived in Westport for a time as newlyweds. The Westport Historical Society joined with Harbor Watch to present a lecture and walking tour of Fitzgerald's Westport and a 'tastefully risque' evening, 'Gatsby's Return,' at The Inn at Longshore on April 27. On May 18 and 19, Westport Community Theater will offer staged readings of The Vegetable, Fitzgerald's only produced play, as a continuation of the festivities.

Technically any venue with 500 seats or more, located along Broadway in New York City's Theatre District is a Broadway theatre, and the art that is produced in these special places is widely considered the highest form of theatrical entertainment in the world. Today, forty-one theatres are technically Broadway houses, each with their own rich history. 'Based on a true incident' seems a phrase best reserved for a hardboiled television detective series, circa 1954 - perhaps followed by a title card reading, 'A Quinn Martin Production' (if you're of a certain vintage, you'll get my meaning) - but in the case of Bright Star, the Tony Award-nominated musical by Steve Martin and Edie Brickell now onstage at Cumberland County Playhouse through June 6, it's definitely fitting.

Oregon Shakespeare Festival (OSF) Incoming Artistic Director Nataki Garrett and Artistic Director Bill Rauch announced the Festival's 2020 playbill today. The season celebrates OSF's ongoing commitment to the work of Shakespeare, imaginative adaptations of beloved classics and illuminating new plays in a Jubilee year that includes two world-premiere American Revolutions commissions for only the second time in the Festival's history.

It was just announced by Pulitzer Prize Administrator Dana Canedy that Jackie Sibblies Drury's Fairview has officially won the 2019 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

The Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra (RSB) has named Karina Canellakis as their first Principal Guest Conductor in the orchestra's history, beginning in 2019/20. She will also be featured as the RSB's Artist in Focus in her inaugural season. Canellakis will work alongside Chief Conductor and Artistic Director Vladimir Jurowski.
