North Texas-based theatrical and film producers Gordon Kelly and Robin Benson Linek have developed a way for theatre ticket purchases to double as grass roots support for a new production in Dallas; the North Texas premiere of Michael Marc Bouchard's play Lilies, scheduled to start performance at the Bath House Cultural Center on Friday, May 31, 2017.

Denver Center for the Performing Arts Broadway proudly announces the 2018/19 season, kicking off with the national tour launch of the 2017 Tony & Grammy-winning Best Musical, DEAR EVAN HANSEN, at The Buell Theatre September 25 through October 13, 2018. Joining DEAR EVAN HANSEN is the 2017 Tony Award-winning Best Musical Revival, HELLO, DOLLY!, starring Broadway legend Betty Buckley, and the first national tours of COME FROM AWAY, A BRONX TALE, THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG, ROALD DAHL'S CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY and ANASTASIA. Also, as part of the season, DCPA Cabaret will produce XANADU.

Golden Thread Productions, the first American theatre company devoted to the Middle East, presents What Do the Women Say?: Dismantling Patriarchy, its annual celebration of International Women's Day. This year's program showcases the work of leading Middle Eastern women artists that are working to expose and eradicate toxic masculinity at home, at work, and on the national stage. The event features a presentation by Yemeni-American visual artist Yasmine Diaz about her collage series, One Way or Another; a dramatic reading by Golden Thread Resident Artist Atosa Melody Babaoff of the short story "White Torture" by Iranian author Farnoosh Moshiri; a performance by Lebanese-American singer Naima Shalhoub featuring music from her debut album Live in San Francisco County Jail; and an excerpt from the documentary film The Judge by Erika Cohn and Sara Maamouri about the Arab world's first woman Sharia judge. After the presentations, Founding Artistic Director Torange Yeghiazarian will facilitate a conversation with the participating artists and the audience. Reem's California will sell food in the lobby starting at 6pm. The full program is 100 minutes without intermission.

Marilyn Maye always packs the Celebrity Room at Dino's Backstage in Glenside, PA, and now fans can get another chance to see this legendary performer as she returns there on September 14, 15 and 16. The month starts off with two performances by Paula Johns and Michael Richard Kelly on September 8 and 9. The City of Cleveland Heights announces the regional premiere of ROCK OF AGES will be produced in the Alma Theater June 8-25 as part of Cain Park?s 2017 season. Newly appointed Cain Park Theater Artistic Director Joanna May Hunkins will direct, with music direction by Jordan Cooper.
