ROCK OF AGES Comes to Casa Manana This June

By:

Casa Mañana Theatre wraps up its 2016-17 Broadway season with the Tony Award-nominated Broadway Musical Rock of Ages, June 3-11, 2017. Tickets are on sale now.

Looking for a good time in Fort Worth? Rock of Ages is a guaranteed electrifying night of raucous and outrageous fun! It's 1987 on L.A.'s infamous Sunset Strip, where Drew, a boy from South Detroit, and Sherrie, a small-town girl, chase their dreams of making it big and falling in love. Complete with 28 eyebrow-scorching rock anthems like "We Built this City," "The Final Countdown," and "Nothin' But a Good Time," Rock of Ages will take you back to the times of big hair and big bands with big egos playing big guitar solos. This show is suitable for mature audiences. Parental discretion is advised.

Rock of Ages features an all-star cast, including Adam Michaels as "Stacee Jaxx," Shannon Mullen as "Sherrie," James Scheider as "Drew" and Christian Whelan as "Dennis Dupree." Michaels is a Chicago-based actor/musician whose credits include RENT, Hair and Dee Snider's Rock & Roll Christmas Tale. Mullen is reprising her role from the National Tour of Rock of Ages. Scheider's credits include "Jerry Lee" in Million Dollar Quartet, both on Broadway and in the First National Tour. Whelan's credits include the national tours of Aida, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Ragtime and Mamma Mia!. Other cast members include: John Hays as "Lonny," M. Denise Lee as "Mother/Justice," Bob Hess as "Hertz," Laura Wetsel as "Ragina" and Charlie Ray as "Franz." Ensemble members include Olivia Sharber, Emmie Kivell, Anthony Vincent Toudjarov, Thomas Griffin Williams and Victoria Garrett. Arsenal, the stage band, is comprised of musicians Dan Peters (lead guitar), Joe Lee (guitar), Neil Anderson-Himmelspach (bass) and John Bryant (drums).

Rock of Ages is directed by Adam John Hunter and choreographed by Jeremy Dumont. Mr. Hunter served as the associate director on Broadway and has mounted several productions across the country. Mr. Dumont most recently choreographed the critically-acclaimed West Side Story at Casa.

Additional creative team members include James Cunningham as music director, Adam Koch as scenic designer, Samuel Rushen as lighting designer, Kyle McCord as sound designer, Tammy Spencer as costume designer and Catherine Petty-Rogers as hair, wig and makeup designer.
