The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts today announced its 2019–2020 theater season, with more than 15 productions from New York, London, and across the globe, plus original Kennedy Center productions.

As his production of Richard Hawley and Chris Bush's Standing at the Sky's Edge opens in the Crucible, Artistic Director of Sheffield Theatres, Robert Hastie, announces programming for 2019.

Performance Space New York in collaboration with Arika and the Whitney Museum of American Art presents I wanna be with you everywhere, a gathering of, by, and for disabled artists and writers and anyone who wants to join in a series of programs that refuse policies of individuation and inclusion in favor of (and in the flavor of) whatever disability aesthetics has in bodymind. Organized by Arika, Amalle Dublon, Jerron Herman, Carolyn Lazard, Park McArthur, Alice Sheppard, and Constantina Zavitsanos, the festival features performances and readings by Eli Clare, John Lee Clark, Kayla Hamilton, Johanna Hedva, Jerron Herman, Cyr e Jarelle Johnson, Camisha L. Rebel Genius, a new musical from Peabody Award-winning songwriter and film composer Matthew Puckett, and based on the life of the young and highly ambitious Albert Einstein, will have its world premiere at the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television's (UCLA TFT) Little Theater today, March 8, 2019. Rebel Geniuscrashes physics and love into one another as Albert falls madly in love with Mileva Maric and then risks everything he has to find a perfect Unified Theory of the Universe. Book, music and lyrics by Matthew Puckett; directed by Ovation Award winner Brian Kite; choreographed by Ovation Award winner Dana Solimando; musical direction by Dan Belzer and Jeremy Mann.

Mischer Neurosciences Broadway at the Hobby Center announced the lineup of shows for its 2019-2020 Season today. With nine productions including one season option, the season includes a mixture of Blockbuster Tony Award-winners, acclaimed revivals, four market premieres and beloved all-time favorites.

Violinist YooJin Jang comes to Pepperdine University's Raitt Recital Hall at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 7, 2019 at the Lisa Smith Wengler Center for the Arts as the final Recital Series performer of the 2018-2019 season. She will be accompanied by pianist Renana Gutman.

Border Crossing's ORIGINS Festival, a multidisciplinary festival of indigenous arts in London with events at high profile venues, including Shakespeare's Globe and the South Bank Centre, will launch at Eric Avery's aboriginal music event at the British Museum on March 1st at 6.30pm. 

Vancouver Opera's 2018/2019 season and festival bring us a lush new production of Puccini's La Boheme that is quite literally designed as an enormous vintage postcard of Paris. The curtain rises on a modern-day flea market, with tourists taking selfies, sellers touting their wares and an accordion duo entertaining the crowd. Amid the bustle, a lone visitor puts a record on a vintage gramophone from which plays the opening bars of Giacomo Puccini's famous opera, transporting the audience back in time.

In an extended commemoration of the Philippine-British Friendship Week, Concertus Manila, the British Alumni Association of the Philippines, led by its Chair Roberto De Ocampo, and the Arts Council Cebu are bringing back the world-renowned Libera, which are made up of British youngsters, six to 17 years of age, to star in a concert titled 'Philippine Friendship Tour' at Meralco Theatre in Pasig City tonight, 8 p.m. and at Pacific Grand Ballroom, Waterfront Hotel, in Cebu City this Saturday, Feb. 23, 8 p.m.

On Monday, March 4 at 6:30pm the medieval court of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table will come to life on the stage of the Vivian Beaumont Theater when Lin-Manuel Miranda stars as King Arthur in Lerner & Loewe's CAMELOT, directed by Bartlett Sher, for a one-night-only concert event to benefit Lincoln Center Theater.  He will be joined by Solea Pfeiffer as Guenevere, Jordan Donica as Sir Lancelot, Dakin Matthews as Merlyn, Ruthie Ann Miles as Nimue, Ethan Slater as Mordred, Julie White as Morgan Le Fey, and Jenn Colella, Jason Danieley, and Bonnie Milligan as three of the Knights of the Round Table.   Andy & Betsy Kenny Lack, Brooke & Daniel Neidich, and Caryn Zucker are the Benefit Co-Chairs.  Proceeds from the evening will support Lincoln Center Theater's productions and education programs.

Boston Lyric Opera's (BLO) season of rebels and dissenters continues into Spring 2019 with tales of strong women helmed by women directors. BLO's productions of THE RAPE OF LUCRETIA and THE HANDMAID'S TALE tell startlingly relevant stories -- both with extraordinary music, and both produced in distinctive, non-traditional spaces. Artistic and General Director Esther Nelson says the spring season highlights stories from which female characters emerge as moral and societal touchstones.

For this year's "It's Magic!", producers Milt Larsen and Terry Hill have gathered stars of magic who are international magic award winners, headliners in Las Vegas, and who have performed on television and internationally.

Drury Lane Theatre announces casting for its production of the international megahit Mamma Mia!, with music and lyrics by Benny Andersson and Bj rn Ulvaeus, some songs with Stig Anderson, and book by Catherine Johnson. Originally conceived by Judy Craymer, Mamma Mia! is directed by Artistic Director William Osetek and choreographed by Jane Lanier with music direction by Roberta Duchak. Mamma Mia! runs February 7 April 14, 2019, at Drury Lane Theatre, 100 Drury Lane in Oakbrook Terrace. The press opening is scheduled for Thursday, February 21 at 8:00 p.m.

The Great American Songbook Foundation is teaming up with Central Indiana community organizations this winter to highlight the cultural contributions of songwriters from Jewish immigrant backgrounds.

NBC has announced the second group of superstar acts who will compete on the all-new winter edition of TV's #1 alternative series, "America's Got Talent: The Champions," premiering Monday, Jan. 7 from 8-10 p.m. ET/PT.  

The multiple Tony award-winning Lincoln Center Theater production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's THE KING AND I is coming to cinemas around the world this autumn.
