New York City Ballet’s 2026-27 Season will open on Tuesday, September 22, 2026 and continue for 21 weeks of performances, through Sunday, May 30, 2027 at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center.

BEEHIVE: THE 60’s MUSICAL, playing at Desert Theatreworks (DTW) is a revue, meaning that it has no real story. However, director, choreographer, and musical director Lance Phillips presents the show as what I would call a “jukebox documentary”.

Onstage, Renato Borghi steps into the dressing room of legendary singer Dalva de Oliveira to fulfill a lifelong dream: inviting the “Queen of Radio” to perform the songs of Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weill. Blending memory and fantasy, the production—directed by Elias Andreato and Elcio Nogueira Seixas—brings together past and present in a poetic theatrical dialogue. Soraya Ravenle portrays Dalva at once as myth and woman, while Ivan Vellame embodies key figures from her personal life. With evocative music, movement, and striking visuals, the show reveals both the icon and the human story behind one of Brazil’s greatest voices.

Recently, Michael’s production of the new play, Incitation of the Dance, opened at Theatre West. Its title Inspired by Gene Kelly's 1956 film; Invitation to the Dance, this dark comedy explores the complexities of older gay relationships—described by one critic as a 'gay gray play.'
